The St. Ann by the Sea Religious Education Program (CCD) is a program with a vibrant Eucharistic spirituality, meaningful catechesis, and mission outreach to the poor, marginalized and homebound. Our students, grades Pre-K –11, are offered age appropriate opportunities to grow in understanding and boldly living out their faith.

In order to foster a lifelong friendship with Jesus Christ, the children study the weekly Gospel and are taught the lives of the saints.

All learning begins with prayer, and how to pray the Rosary; since following the steps of the Blessed Virgin Mary is the best and fastest way to developing a personal relationship with Jesus. We offer a safety program for all grades that teach children age appropriate lessons that concentrate on basic skills, which help keep them safe from dangerous or abusive situations. We support parents, and educate catechists, ministers and community members to effectively respond to suspected abuse. The CCD curriculum mirrors that of St. Christine’s Religious Education curriculum since they are a neighboring Marshfield parish. We use the same book resources and local service projects which help children share what they learn in class with their peers, at school, and on the playground. The Confirmation Program is a mission oriented program that offers local, national and global opportunities to serve in order to preserve the dignity of the human person seen in the marginalized, the sick, the homebound, the hungry, the elderly and the poor. The teens have traveled to Washington, DC for the ‘March for Life’, Cairo, NY to help renovate homes for the poor., Long Branch, New Jersey serving victims of Hurricane Sandy, Worcester, MA with Habitat for Humanity, and Chicago Illinois with The Br. Darst Center For Justice, Peace, Spirituality and Education. Our Post Confirmandi young adults have traveled to Ecuador, the Dominican Republic, and Guatemala. A couple of years ago the teens attended the World Youth Day Pilgrimage in Poland, and this catechetical year, will travel to Panama City, Panama for the pilgrimage to World Youth Day in January of 2019.
