A Message From Cardinal Seán
My Brothers and Sisters,
Times of crises are a test of our resolve. The current challenges facing the Catholic Church are no different. Now more than ever we must come together in faith and hope in support of the critically important ministries to the benefit of the faithful and those who turn to us in need.
Thus I ask you to please support the 2019 Catholic Appeal, which funds youth ministries, addiction recovery programs, elder services, parish life enrichment programs, and myriad other faith-based ministries that positively impact so many lives throughout our Archdiocese. Without your kindness, support for our parishes, schools, neighbors and friends will suffer.
This is Our Church and every gift makes a difference.
The generosity of those who have come before us planted the seeds of these
ministries. It is now our responsibility to help sustain and nurture their future growth. When we put our faith into action and work together in mission we have a profound impact on our parishes, our communities and those in need throughout the Archdiocese.
Thank you for your consideration of this important request. We cannot do this work alone and must remain resolute together. This is our Church, and every gift makes a meaningful difference in our efforts to continue this life-saving and life-affirming work.
I ask you to review the powerful stories that follow and join in the effort to support the 2019 Catholic Appeal.
With profound gratitude and the assurance of my prayers,
Cardinal Seán O’Malley
Archbishop of Boston
